Do you think it is wrong and why or why not? Firstly if you think about it in a way, it is murder. The reason I think this is, is because an abortion can still be carried out late into the pregnancy. Now many of you probably think that it isn’t alive, so whats the problem. Well lets take a fetus, and compare it to any other baby……. is the heart beating? does it have a brain? How can you say it isn’t alive? What about premature babies, are they just a bunch of cells? Cells are living by the way. A baby is alive from the first second it’s heart starts beating. Thats why it can suck it’s thumb and kick and move and think while it’s still in the womb. So if you want to tell me that “it isn’t living”, whats your proof? I read somewhere that once, a docter performed an abortion late in a pregnancy and he found the baby sucking it’s thumb. He killed the baby anyway. Was that baby “a bunch of cells” or “not living”. Please tell me what you think.
In the aspect of a woman getting raped and becoming pregnant, she could still go through with the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption. Many amazing and great people have been adopted in this way. And it is better than killing them before they even have a chance at life

i am totally against it i feel its murder.if you dont want a child then be responsible and mature and protect yourself.alot of women use abortion as a form of birth control and it makes me sickmaybe they need to stop and think there mother should have or could have aborted them

Simple. Its out there. If its illigal it will still be done illigally, in less than ideal conditions and more fatalities will occur. So, I don’t believe government has the right to decide what’s best for a woman’s body. Free Choice, and if they have to answer to God for it, it was their free will that brought them there.
People need to worry about themselves more.

Personally, I wouldn’t choose abortion. I would always opt to have the child and if I wasn’t able to give the child a loving, nurturing and stable environment, I would give the child up for adoption. There are so many childless couples in the world. I do however, believe the right woman should have to make the choice. I may not agree with it, but we do live in America and I’m certain that that’s why we’re free…our right to choose.

I am against abortion. A lot of women use it as a means of birth control and I am disgusted by this. I had a co-worker they had three abortions and talked about having another one.
But I am for the death penalty.

You probably will completely disagree with me, but no, I don’t think abortion is that bad. First of all, if the parents don’t want the child, it’s not going to live a happy life anyways, is it? It will probably be abused in some manner and never be given true love. Second of all, there are many stupid people in the world and if they’re underage and having sex without a condom, even though that’s bad judgement, they should not have to sacrifice the rest of their lives for an unwanted child. Also, their parents often are not understanding and will kick them out of their houses if they become pregnant. How does this benefit either party.
And if a woman gets raped, it will probably seriously be put against her the rest of her life. Many people will probably assume that she was just sleeping around.
There are many other reasons depending on the circumstances.
Yes, I agree, abortion is not a happy thought. But remember, sometimes it is required for a person to continue on with a happy, functional life. It’s better to have one happy person than two who are permanently unhappy.

I am against it . Its basically murder . Just because the babies eyes ar’nt open dos’nt mean it dos’nt live. Its still alive . Which makes it murder. If you get pregnant. either take care what you did or at least adoption . NOT MURDER!! If you not going to get pregnant at list use a condom

i am for it. it is the womans choice. if i ended up getting accidentally knocked up or raped i would have an abortion. NO WAY could i give up a baby that came from me! and as of right now i am not able to completely care for a baby. i’m not married, i am only a substitute teacher looking for a full time teaching job, so i don’t have the finances to raise a baby. my only choice would be have an abortion and i would do it VERY EARLY before it is even considered a baby. it’s my choice and it wouldn’t bother you.

Wow. Kudos for tackling the tough issues
I know I’m an evil male but I believe its wrong. It isn’t a religious thing with me and I think that is where we went wrong in fighting against it, in expecting to go on the stand and expecting everyone to have a religious outlook on it.
For me its simple right and wrong common sense. Who has the right to tell me I don’t get a chance at life? That I don’t get a chance to reach my full potential. I don’t think any human being has the right to predetermine this before the person is even born.
The chances of the next Ghandi, Einstein, or Davinci are slim as it is. Why lower the chances even more?
I believe that adoption is the best bet in the case of rape victims. I know it isn’t the mother’s fault that she is raped but it also isn’t the child’s.
That being said. I don’t judge governments who legalize abortion nor mothers who have them. I have never been in the situation and can’t even imagine how hard the decision is. And if I don’t envy the Chinese government who is trying to balance overpopulation with what is best for its people.
But it is strange that abstenance isn’t even a consideration in teaching or in legislation (if you are shocked then think of it this way. We can legislate childbirth but we can’t legislate sex?)
Lastly, and if this loses me some friends then sorry. I’ll miss you. BUT, I don’t buy into the “Its the woman’s body” argument. It was NOT my mother’s body it was MY life. And I’m glad she took the less criminal route and appreciate her going through the trouble to give birth to me.

I do not agree with late term abortion. I think if it’s within the first 12 weeks it’s ok in certain cases. Would I have one ever, no. Do I agree with it, NO however a woman does have a right to her body. A Dr should have the responsibility to know the difference between a baby with a thumb much less sucking a thumb…that should be criminal.
It is not any humans place to ever decide the fate of another in that manner. God is the only one who should have that right however…I have to answer for MY actions and I have discouraged friends from having an abortion, I would never have one and I am not a dr who performs them nor do I work in an office condoning it. I do know people that have had them and I dont think any less of them. They have to live with themselves and guilt is a horrible thing to live with.

Abortion is an individuals choice, noone elses. Everyone has their personal views on the matter, but they are all just that. I believe in God but I cant speak for him as soo many do, I cant judge, as so many do. Its an individuals choice, Id rather know a abortion was done by a professional than in a closet with a coat hanger. So in short, the individual must live with the choices they make.
