Adorable!,
Bought this for my 3 year old daughter for trick or treating, she HAD to be a T-Rex this year. Due to a huge storm the night of Halloween, we and hundreds of others trick or treated at the mall. She was the far and away hit of the mall. People were smiling and pointing at her because she looked so cute. A couple of notes: the “head” is a little heavy (the costume is well made, by the way) but just be sure your child has the neck strength to be able to hold it up. I would say don’t buy it for anyone younger than three. Secondly, I thought it ran a bit on the small side, if I had to do it over again, I would have bought her a larger size. She is not an overly large child (39″, 32lbs) and I thought it was definitely small on her. Otherwise, I would recommend this costume wholeheartedly.

Needs Improvement,
I just bought this costume for my 4-year-old. She loves dinosaurs and really wants to be a T-Rex for Halloween. She wanted the yellow T-Rex, but I couldn’t find it in the right size, so I got the rust-colored T-Rex, also by Underwraps Carnival Corp. Based on reviews that I read elsewhere, I knew that I needed an XL (child’s Size 4-6). Anyway, the pattern that was used to cut the material for this costume is off. My daughter is about 41.5″ tall and approx. 38lbs. She can still wear 4T clothing, but she’s at the top end of that size range. The torso length is just barely long enough, but the length of the legs is several inches too long. If she were more than 1/2″ taller, the torso would be too short (it’s snug in the crotch). The neckline is a very wide boatneck, instead of a crewneck, exposing 3-4 inches of your child’s upper chest. Your child will need an orange or yellow tee to wear underneath the costume both to complete the look and for additional warmth, as the neckline leaves the upper part of their chest bare. (Tip: leave the mitts attached to the sleeves when you take the costume out of the package, because your child will be taking those mitts off constantly, and you’ll be chasing them around all night or they’ll get lost.) The hood is not attached to the main costume, and the stuffing for T-Rex’s head is quite heavy, so T-Rex’s head falls down over my daughter’s face, and there’s no way to keep it out of her face, which defeats the whole purpose of the costume. She did not want to keep the costume, but instead of dealing with the hassle of a mail-order return, I took it to an alteration shop, had them remove some excess material and adjust the velcro in the back, so the neckline is not so loose, and had the legs taken in, so she’ll not be dragging them and walking on them all night. I had them attach some snaps to the hood and the suit. They used some extra cloth from where they’d adjusted the velcro in the back, and now, the hood attaches with a couple of extra pieces of cloth in the back, each only about 1/2″ with snaps. Now, she can wear it without T-Rex’s head falling down and covering her face. Much better, but don’t buy this, unless you want to make alterations to the costume. It’s poorly designed, and it won’t fit properly right out of the package.

It’s cute but poorly sized,
Great costume but sizing is really poor. It should fit toddler 2T to 4T but it very small from the neck to the crotch. I doubt it is even a 2T in sizing. My grandson really liked the costume too. He loved walking around with the headpiece and roaring like a T-rex. We were disappointed because the costume is really cute but did not fit him. We had no choice but to return it and could not find a larger size. More attention to size measurements and quality control would help. Or at least some sort of standardized measurements for sizes. It’s not nice to disappoint little kids.
