i have been tryin to potty train my son for about 2 and a half weks now. so here is my problem….he seems to get stage fright. whenever he is playing or doing soemthing he does a great job of telling me when he needs to go and seems pretty excited about it. he jumps up and down and says “come on mommy, potty” but as soon as we get to the potty he totally freezes up and wont go, and within 5 minutes of taking him off the potty he is going in his underwear. i thought that maybe i just needed to leave him on the potty longer but it doesnt matter whether i leave him there for 30 seconds or ten minutes….the same thing always happens. we have been training for about 2 and a half weeks and he has only gone in the potty one time (and he didnt even finish, he went half in the potty then got off and went the rest in the underwear). any advice?

well my daughter is 2, and we have been encouraging her to go (she’s gone probably 4 times) but all of a sudden she just stopped, and whenever she would poop in the potty she would get up and start screaming, like it was scaring her…..so all I can say is keep asking him if he needs to go…

Question by Hummingbird: When do newborn infants begin to sleep at night more, and are more alert during the day?
I think I’m going crazy. I can’t really sleep during the day because of my 13 month old. My newborn is 2 weeks now, and I have to nurse her 3 times during the night, but she takes long naps during the day. When should this reverse?? AHHHHHH!

My baby finally gave me some rest at night and fun, alert moments during the day around 1 1/2 months. It was amazing the first day she seemed alert and not crying all the time! I also breast feed, so yeah, the first night sleeping through was so wonderful. I wanted so badly to pump and make my hubby feed her!
